A warehouse at the eastern edge of downtown Oakland, where freight ships haul cargo and passengers are moving to and from airports, is filling up, with cargo weighing in at about 3,500 tons.
Oakland’s warehouses are one of the busiest in the country, with more than 20,000 containers stacked on top of each other in a region of more than 10 million people.
But the city’s container shortage has been exacerbated by a string of recent hurricanes that have battered the Bay Area.
At least 14 containers at a warehouse near San Francisco International Airport have been damaged by fire, according to city officials.
And at another warehouse in Oakland, another 4,000 crates are stacked up, along with the containers for other cargo ships.
The containers are part of the cargo shipping industry in Oakland.
They are often used to load and unload freight ships in the Bay area.
They also make up part of an economy that supports thousands of jobs.
In recent years, Oakland’s economy has been hit hard by the financial crisis and other economic struggles, including a loss of manufacturing jobs, which has hit the city hard.
But in a report last year by the Oakland Economic Development Corporation, the city recorded a gain of more $2.2 billion in economic activity since the beginning of 2018.
The report said the growth in business was driven by growth in both private and public sector jobs.
And in that period, Oakland has added more than 1,200 jobs in the business sector, according the report.
It’s not clear why the warehouse problem has escalated to this level.
The warehouses have been at a standstill for several months, and the city has been unable to find a replacement.
Oaklanders are also frustrated because Oaklanders don’t seem to understand that a lack of container shipping is a national problem, according as Alameda County Supervisor John Avalos.
He is asking the state and federal government to provide funding to build and install a system for container shipping that is as efficient and secure as the current system, but he also wants the city to be reimbursed for costs associated with the new system.
Avalos has been a vocal critic of the federal government’s inability to get container ships to ports.
